See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna

Hey, how goes it?

A warm welcome to those of you who have come upon my humble blog. If you’re here, then it’s probably because of my various writings(shitposts) relating to RWBY. Or you may have been following me back when I was active a year ago, also when I was writing RWBY posts. Regardless of whether you’re an old mutual, or a new one, I’m happy to have you here and appreciate you taking the time to read my goofy posts.

I keep my asks off by default, mostly because I really don’t take requests due to being fairly sporadic in my writing process and due to being fairly busy in my personal life. However, I’m always open on messaging and I’m more than happy to either workshop ideas with people(whether it’s shitposts or original ideas), have questions about my posts, or just want to shoot the shit.

And with that said, thanks once again to those who read my content and I hope to share more writings with you guys for years to come. You’re all truly wonderful people.

Story links will be posted down here for ease of access.

Why is it always dental care? Why is it always the UK’s NHS?

Yes, the brits need a good, solid, perpetual shitting on, but if you’re going to put the Europeans in their place, you have to detail their failures.

It’s like judging the entire US by Detroit.

iamthetruenhaz

No, it's like judging the entire US by California. The UK doesn't even want to be part of Europe anymore but you people go "hurr durr yurrpianz" at shit which weirds us out as much as you.

A question to Americans: why are you too retarded to understand that air conditioning hurts the environment, and therefore its use should be on the decline, and that you’re the backwards ones for thinking this is some basic necessity?

It's not necessary to have A/C. It's not necessary to have a car (yes, even one). It's not necessary to have a big house. What's necessary and valuable is to live in a way that respects and minimizes the impact your existence has on the world around you.

But an average American retard won't ever understand nor value things like that.

>It's not necessary to have A/C. It's not necessary to have a car (yes, even one).

I'm not American. I'm Caribbean-British. I can't turn on the Beeb without hearing news about heat-waves across the continent.

I also know enough about Freedomland to know there are many places where a car is absolutely essential, with no public transit whatsoever.

>It's not necessary to have a big house.

Some people have big families, actually.

>What's necessary and valuable is to live in a way that respects and minimizes the impact your existence has on the world around you.

>But an average American retard won't ever understand nor value things like that.

Especially not after a weak argument like that.

I suggest not insulting people with bigoted stereotypes while you're accusing them of bigotry. And also actually supporting your views, not just claiming they're true.

Tends to work a lot better!

danthepest

I mean, I don’t understand the general dick measuring contest between Americans and Europeans.

Neither continent’s states/countries are perfect and both do thing better and worse than the other.

I will say I see this superiority complex more often than not from Europeans, as if we have room to talk about education or economy.

siryouarebeingmocked

In a weird way, I straddle both. I'm legally British, and have lived in Blighty for a good portion of my life, but my home country is in the Caribbean with a lot of American cultural influence.

And good luck walking or biking across the island. Especially in summer. Or heavy rain.

Americans see Europeans as condescending.  Which they are.

Europeans think of Americans as brutish barbarians.  Which they are.

The truth is that both the US and EU are being swallowed by a growing Fascist technocracy.

The mental health of trans people and what they need is constantly being put on the backburner in favor of coddling nonbinary people and making sure that they feel "seen" and "valid".

This is becoming dire.

I have seen nonbinary people trying to convince trans people that their dysphoria is brought on by society and not something innate and the defining characteristic of being trans. How is that at all different from both radfem and terf rhetoric?

As a result I've seen trans people being forced to first and foremost acknowledge nonbinary people and their beliefs over their own needs. Forced to be quiet for fear of losing community and friendships. Chased out of spaces meant for them that are now overrun with cis men and women wearing a costume and repeating points made by terfs.

This needs to be called out and addressed. Let me clear if I haven't been: nonbinary people are cis men and women. For every nb who might be a trans person struggling with themselves there are many more (aka the majority) who are simply enforcing gender roles and equating clothing, aesthetics, and interests with gender.

You cannot choose to be trans anymore than you can choose to be gay or bisexual. What you can choose is trite little labels that do nothing but prove your ignorance and lack of care about real trans men and women just trying to live their fucking lives.

brazenautomaton

if there are no NB Republicans, there's no such thing as NB.

athingbynatureprodigal

On the one hand that seems likely true, on the other hand I’m unclear on the process that got to it.

brazenautomaton

if being NB is not a decision you make but a thing that you are then it is reasonable to ask people to go out of their way in how they treat you, and to request resources and validation from the organizations that help out marginalized people with their resources and validation, because you are suffering in a society marginalizing you for who you are through no fault of your own.

if being NB is not a thing that you are but a decision that you made, then you are not entitled to special compensation or credibility or resources or preferable treatment. you’re putting on a hat that says “pay more attention to me, give me nice things” and getting mad at people for not obeying it. claiming your life is so hard because the hat is so heavy. motherfucker you put on the hat as an attention-seeking scheme. you only put on the hat when you thought it would get you enough nice things to be worth the effort.

athingbynatureprodigal

While I disagree with none of this, the part that’s missing is that identifying as NB requires you to 1)know what that is, 2)know that it’s an option, 3)know that it’s you, and 4)be in a place where you can safely come out.

I can easily see the number of Republicans for whom all conditions are met being extremely small. Extremely.

Even as small as zero, especially #4.

And in the absence of all four factors, an NB person is going to just look like a guy who comes off as kind of effeminate (which describes plenty of Republicans) or one who is constantly, wildly overcompensating for their inner feelings of not-being-a-real-man (which describes an overwhelming number of Republicans) or the female equivalents (ditto).

The extreme scarcity of black people among the KKK isn’t evidence against the existence of black people, or for the idea that being black is voluntary.

It is probably evidence that coming to the conclusion that you’re NB probably also comes with deciding not to be a Republican, because being a Republican is voluntary, and someone deciding “I’m probably nonbinary” just got a very strong incentive to ditch all things Republican.

And there are plenty of NB people who used to identify as Republicans; enough that I’ve met some.

brazenautomaton

The KKK is an anti-black organization. There's very little to them otherwise, I mean you've got antisemitism and anti-Catholicism and that's it. Without racism, there is no there there.

Conservatism has a lot of things to it and a lot of positions that aren't about identity politics that a person could agree with and think are important. Without hatred of LGBT people, there is still some quantity of "there," in tax and economic policy, immigration, gun rights, etc.

You say the reason is that Republicans may not feel safe coming out as nonbinary, but that's obviously not true. There is no possible way you can argue that coming out as NB is more dangerous than coming out as a trans woman. There are trans women who are Republicans and/or Trumpists, despite coming out as such being more dangerous to them. All of your contempt for Republicans and the way they don't have the correct experience of gender should be MORE true of trans women, and yet, trans women Republicans exist. Your explanation is no good.

Hire more full time ( 40 hours/week) workers with a benefit plan and be loyal to your great workers. Promote from within whenever possible, so there's an incentive for success and advancement. This is where we've gone wrong. We're constantly in the recruitment and retraining mode. That's expensive.

teamvoorhees2

Shhhh. Every company believes its cheaper to have 100% turnaround. And most companies continue to promote ass kissers over hard workers until the work environment is so toxic you need a Haz suit.

Even trucking companies who pay out massive amounts of insurance, repair bills, lawsuits, and lose tons of $ in downtime and lost customers.. keep hiring shitty and/or inexperienced drivers rather than pay skilled drivers what we're worth.

weatherman667

People act like McDonalds is the only company that makes burgers.
